Walking Home Alone

For our older children in Years 5 and 6, we understand the importance of developing independence and responsibility. If you would like your child to walk home on their own, please review our walking home alone policy and complete the request form below.

Key Points:

• Children must be in Years 5 or 6 to be considered for walking home alone
• Parents/guardians must submit a written request, outlining their child's ability to walk home safely
• The school will review each request and provide a decision based on the child's maturity and the safety of the route
• Children granted permission to walk home alone must follow our school's code of conduct and safety guidelines

By allowing our older children to walk home independently, we are nurturing their sense of responsibility and confidence, aligning with our school's values of "Be the best you can be."
