Welcome to Blakeney Primary School

Blakeney Primary School is a small, maintained primary school located in the beautiful Forest of Dean. As part of a Federation with Walmore Hill and Pillowell Schools, we work together as a close-knit community to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where all children can thrive.

With just 86 pupils on roll, our school has a wonderful family feel. We pride ourselves on being a place where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be the best version of themselves. Our mixed-age classes allow for valuable peer learning, and our dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure each child's individual needs are met.

We believe in the power of reading to transform lives, and we work hard to foster a love of literature in our pupils. Our well-stocked library and book swap shop provide endless opportunities for children to discover new worlds through the written word. We also have strong links with the local Literature Festival, welcoming visiting authors who inspire our children's creativity.

Beyond the classroom, our pupils enjoy a wealth of extracurricular activities, from sports and outdoor learning to arts and crafts. Our wrap-around care and extensive after-school club programme ensure that our families' needs are well supported.

As an integral part of the local community, we work closely with Blakeney Church and participate in many community events. Our children take great pride in contributing to the life of the village, whether through performances, charity fundraising, or volunteering.
